That works. I cut the shank off a hook with a matching eye size to the tip and tie/glue it on. I use the bait holder type with the barbs on the shank and it won't slip out of the wrapping so easy.Originally Posted by prefers shiners
You can do all kind of things with safety pins.....like make a new tip for the end of your jig pole......
