While Peg was working on the computer I made my left over goo for supper left over meat mixed veggies, onion peppers cream of mushroom soup and can of stems and pieces. The meat was left over 4th brisket. I had marinated the thin end of a brisket over night but when I went to step out it was raining . So I stuck it in the oven instead. It was good we ate on it for 2 days but I shreaded the rest and made goo outa it. sure was quick simple one pot delicous, Peg only had a small bowl of it. 3 times

We are off across da river to give the dawg a hair cut. This time of the year he gets his summer buzz cut and we have him trimmed almost nekked. He seems to enjoy it and frolicks in the summer heat that way till september or so when he gets it again.

My favorite dog I ever had was a brittany spaniel, named eclair for her colors. We would cut her hair back in the summer and she would feel frisky. Usually resulted in her jumping on another dog and rumbling till they finally had enough. Summer ritual.

my daughter is a dog groomer for Petsmart in Texas.....she loves it.....

WE took da brat to pet smart but not in Texas While we were out we did our usual goofing off had tex-mex for lunch went to Barnes and Noble and rode by Lake Pontchartrain and goof ed off got the lil chit back all frisky with his new cut and just got home not a bad day.

On a side note, since this is a shoot the bull thread, the LHSAA (Louisiana High School Athletic Association) refs announced that they are on strike. Saw it in the paper this evening. Said that the first week of high school football won't happen with them. Here I was thinking that these folks did that on a voluntary basis just for fun. I would if I could. Never even occurred to me it was a basis of extra income for them.

Crying shame to kids and fans who love this so much. High school football around here is almost as intense as in Texas - which is serious. I realize some of you folks won't understand. Just wanted to say something. Thanks.

The refs say it's more of a matter of respect than pay - so says the newspaper. It appears each parish will have meetings with LHSAA officials in order to resolve the issue before football season begins. I inquired about the meetings. They stated that they did not want anyone "opinioned" involved. Haven't a clue what they meant about that.

On a side note, this is the first time I replied to my own post. Apparently it works. Ann says it reminds her of me talking to myself - which is fine, I find myself quite entertaining
