Beginner's luck. I will take any help I can get.
My wife just wants to catch fish. I am by far the one that likes to understand how all the nuts and bolts fit together.

I have a co-pilot on my terrova trolling motor. I like the little remote a lot; otherwise my wife would have to learn to be much more self-sufficient on the boat than she currently is.

At the time we bought the boat it came with a Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor with co-pilot. Maybe down the road when I figure many more things out I will get the I-pilot. It does have many features that would be very nice.
