Well, let's see....in addition to my sunglasses, there was my watch, my fav bracelet, tape measure, and pliers. Never to be seen again. I tried to do the same to ATM, but unfortunately, unlike the afore mentioned...he floats.
Obviously I am a bird brain for wearing spencive stuff to the lake. I have finally learned my lesson.
I have also learned that when the lake gets really, really low, I need to purchase a metal detector. From the sounds of y'all, I kin find all kinds of good stuff

There is no amount of beer that would make that crappy day go away

Stringer of fish... UGH!! Thanks for the reminder. Add that to my list. Back story: Three of us in the jon on the HOA lake. Clip style stringer hooked to Ralph's tackle box, were messing around, and drinking... more drinking than fishing, but we had a good load of 18 or so large black crappie. I'm driving the boat, take the other two to the dock so we can load the boat and get home (two blocks to the house). We'd pulled the fish in as we crossed the lake. I didn't notice Ralph had his tackle box in hand when he got on the dock. They are taking their time getting the truck backed down so I decide to keep the fish fresh. I reached back and grabbed the stringer and flipped it back in the water... remember Ralph has his tackle box.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
