I have lost 4 or 5 fish measures a 16 foot rod with reel. Brand new bags of jigs. Then to the pain full part a G loomis rod with an okuma reel. Spent many hours swimming around trying to find that one. An now the top one, a two week old Minn Kota trolling motor, hit a wave just right an ripped it off the front of the boat.

I have lost so many things I get sick to my stomach thinking about them. Thanks for the reminder, Brother. I hope to retrieve the object you speak of soon. Will let you know how that turns out.

Not really in the lake, but I once locked my keys in the truck at the ramp on Stockton 2 hours from home. To make it worse the truck was still running. Thought I could get in by breaking out the sliding rear window. finally broke the glass only to find all I broke was the glass in the camper shell. Burned about half a tank of gas before another set of keys could be delivered.

I see several have lost fish checkers. Because I kayak and things do fall over the side easier than in a boat, I used one of those blue sleeping mats you get a wal-mart, cut a piece the same shape as the checker, glued to the back. Now, it floats. I used that mat material for all types of things so I had one laying around, any type of floating material will work. A piece of swimming noodle tied to a string and attached to the checker will keep it from sinking.
