    Default All righttty now-what exactly is


    a secondary point?
    Always see the term used and assumed it was a primary(main) point that leveled off for a while,then dropped again.
    Also see it used to describe a submerged point that was once above water,but now totally under.

    any pics of a topo map that shows exactly what it is?

    I haven't thought a lot of about it, but seems to me like it would be a spur off the ridge that creates the main lake point. I don't know, maybe some of the others know, or can make something up we'll believe. :D

    I always refered to them as a point in side of a creek or cove. Any point that is not a main lake point. Which would be the ones at the mouth of any cove or creek along the main lake or channel.

    I believe you have it right cook. It would be a depth drop and should show on any contour map. I would assume that it would be a drop of several feet. At least that's the way I've alway interpreted it.
