    Default Summertime bald eagles @ LOZ


    Saw something at LOZ on Father's Day weekend that I hadn't seen before -- bald eagles at the lake during summertime. I've seen them there before in winter, but never in the summer.

    They were beautiful. Saw one in Pin Oak cove in the Glaize that Saturday and another (flying within 50 yards of our boat) in a cove around the 14MM on Sunday. Just was curious as to this was something they started doing recently (staying here in the summer)?

    I'm no expert but I was a bit surprised last Saturday mornig as well seeing one just down from Sparrowfoot on Truman Lake
