Fishing 101
By Dave Stewart
Definitions of Fishing Terms
Here are some definitions of keywords you will commonly see in Dave Stewart's fishing report.
Primary or Main Point
This is a point that is associated with the junction of two major bodies of water. If you were on the main lake traveling into Sugar Bay, the points on your left and right where the bay and main lake come together are primary points.
Secondary point
Points that are in a creek, bay or on the main lake that are not associated with the junction of two major bodies of water. Besides primary or main points, all other points on the main lake and in the bays are secondary points. Many times I refer to secondary creek channel points in my reports. These are secondary points that are closely associated with a creek channel.
