Now I have a question for you all. I think Johnny us using the best method to test his motor using a barrel with a lot of water. Some people swear by the boots but I always thought the water pressure from the hose could potentially hide water pump issues. What do you all think?
I used muffs last spring, had the motor running well, went to the lake and it ran like crap.
I learned that you need the back pressure on the exhaust by having it in the water in order to get the timing and carb set correctly (51 year old motor if that makes any difference)
