Looking for information on the crappie stalker And the c&c widowmakers. What are the pro and cons of both. Understand the widowmakers had some issues.

Slow trolling minners up to 1 mph the widowmakers do great, easy to put where you want them and 1 pole getting a bite does not effect the rest of them.
Bad is all the holes you have to drill to mount.

Friend of mine has had both. He settled on the New style Crappie stalker with the bend in stalk so holder will be closer to you while giving plenty of clearance for knees. He took a piece of aluminum strip and mound the holder basses to it the mounted the strip to floor with 2 bolts thus eliminating all the holes drilled in the floor.

I have not used either but it seems that if you make a adjustment on the Crappie stalkers and push them out away from your knees or bring them in towards your knees you then have no adjustment on how high your rod tip is. On the Tite-lok you can move them in or out from you and still with another adjustment move rod up or down. I am looking at them right?? If so wouldn't the Tite-lok C&C's have more advantageous giving you more movement??? Not sure could be wrong?

Both effect the rod tip when you pull them to you and push them away.

But doesn't on the Tite-lok's if you pull the stem towards or push away you still have another adjustment right under the rod for adjusting rod tip height? On the Driftmaster it looks to me like when you push or pull the stem where you want it the rod tip height can not be changed?? Am I looking at how they work correctly????

This is correct . I have the Crappie Stalkers and really like them ( the more holes you drill the easier it gets nothing new carpet want cover) it's not like your going to push them 8 inches forward or backwards if they move 2 inches the rod tip moves 2 ft . I'm sure the C&C works just fine also just don't see reaching under rod to adjust rod tip seeing it takes very little movement to move rod tip a lot .

No. that's isn't correct. The push and pull is to adjust the rod tip height from the water on the Tite Lok. The Knob adjustment under the rod is for setting the distance the rod holder is from you. You can set them as close or far away from you as you want. Adjust them once when doing your setup and you're done. The lower you set the front of the holder the closer to you the butt of the rod is when your rod tip is the right height out of the water. The higher you set the front of the holder, the farther the rod butt is away from you when you set your rod tip height from the water. Lots of people don't know that even if they use them.

Once you set the Tite Loks up, there are no screws or tools needed regardless of whether you adjust your rod tips up or down or left or right to spread them out more. It's all done on the ball mount similar to a ram mount. You can run a 3 oz weight on one pole and a 1/2 oz on another and adjust the tips the same height from the water in a split second. Easy to change your rig weights and styles and adjust them for that too. Only takes a second. With the Driftmaster you can't adjust the distance the holder is from you separately from the tip height adjustment for up and down once you mount them to the deck.

Both are good, well made products, but the C&C are way more popular on the pro circuits. Not that that might matter to you, but there is a reason for it. I do use some other style Driftmaster products for other techniques like pulling cranks, but I also pull with the Tite Lok T-Bars both off the side and at the transom.
