Preferred line size and knot type

I fish grenada and use 20lb spider wire same diameter as 6lb mono. Have to have tough stuff to pull the hawgs out of the brush piles

For jigging, use direct tie to jig, for trolling use the loop knot- I use 10# stren Hi - viz with a 6# leader.

What is the lightest jighead that you can get away with trolling? I have only used 1/4 oz. thinking about going to an 1/8th if wind will allow for it.

I troll I/32oz a lot. Straight down with weighted leader or long lining.

I use 10/2 braid with a Palomar knot and a drop of superglue for jigging, 10/40 power pro braid for everything else.
