Preferred line size and knot type

I fish grenada and use 20lb spider wire same diameter as 6lb mono. Have to have tough stuff to pull the hawgs out of the brush piles :biggrin

I use Fas-snaps! !!

For jigging, use direct tie to jig, for trolling use the loop knot- I use 10# stren Hi - viz with a 6# leader.

What is the lightest jighead that you can get away with trolling? I have only used 1/4 oz. thinking about going to an 1/8th if wind will allow for it.

I troll I/32oz a lot. Straight down with weighted leader or long lining.

I use 10/2 braid with a Palomar knot and a drop of superglue for jigging, 10/40 power pro braid for everything else.
