I see most of you guys store the rods on your boat when not fishing. Any other suggestions to store them at home in the garage? I thought of making some makeshift hangers for the different length rods, but not sure if that will work or give me a large catfish crankbait tangle.

two pieces of pvc pipe with a rope through it and hang from ceiling works good can be any width you want......hang about 10 or 12 inches below ceiling...or rafters whatever and rods stored out of the way

This is how I did mine. Works slick as can be. I dipped the j-bolts in insulating rubber like you put on pliers to insulate them, but that may be overkill. I thought it might cushion the rods because they rotate in the holders as the garage door opens and closes.

That's a neat idea right there!!!!! My shop door is 24'. It'll hold long rods easy. A few felt pads should keep the bottom reel from banging the door.

This one was custom built to hold 10. We now have an 8 pole and a 12 pole set.

I have the Driftmasters tips saver 8 pole on my stringer 195, works for me. Would like to have a 12 pole holder would be a little better.
