I've got a 2016 WE Predator 861 (as if my handle didn't give it away). Would like to put it on console side if possible. I like EZ's and may go with that. But Wayne Inman has a YouTube clip of a transport rack that can be turned up on one end and tightened down to a base plate and it would act as a rocket launcher type rod holder while switching spots....because of course you've already caught all the slabs in your first spot!

I went with the Drfitmaster becuase it locked. I added a divider in the middle to support the long rods. You have move the end divider all the way to almost 4 inches from the tips to avoid them from whipping against each other in the wind.

with the offset holders could I set them up where the rods are off to the side of the boat as well so that while im in the boat they wont take up room?

Walmart sells a garage misc holder for $1.00 and I use 2 of them, one on each side. I don't like anything hanging off or near the boat edge. These hooks go on the inside of the boat and I made a bungee strap to hook over the top of them once I have everything I want pinned down. I saw the idea from ATM on this forum. It works great for the way I fish. There are so many times I have a limb or a snag come inside of the boat or hit the back end of the boat causing me to change direction. There are times I want to rest the back end of my boat on a snag to keep me placed perfectly for a few moments. There is no way I could do this with the rod racks I have seen. I wrap all my rods in a matter if seconds and strap them in. It's worked for me and was cheap, but if I planned to fish nothing but open water like most, I would go for a nice rack like EZ makes.
