All this hype on Grenada lake and to me it is going down hill, last year was terrible I live close to the lake and was having to fish other lakes to catch fish. And its not me everyone I know that has fished the lake all there life had a terrible year. But the internet has blew it up. It just seems way over fished these days. Did anyone else have the same problem last year.

Just a bad year and the preasure on Grenada pails in comparison to Sardis. Think we will have a good year and last year was a good year for quality but the numbers were low.

Numbers were terrible. usually we catch a pile of short fish 11-12in but this past year I caught 1 fish i had to measure. Which isn't good when the most fish i caught in a day last year at Grenada was 7. We caught fish at sardis but the crowd was crazy.

In 2011 I caught lots of short fish but it's gone steadily down since. Caught very few short fish this past year. Don't know about the pressure but it does seem like Grenada is now on every crappie fishermans' bucket list.

Crappie Masters set new records last year at Grenada. Wasn't bad for everyone. Grenada lake hype

Largest weigh ever recorded in a tourney (20.57), and the biggest fish ever weighed in a Tourney (3.87).

I'll amend that...........the farther south, the less wind you have to deal with. Barnett is the place to be!

See thats what people see is stuff like that. The day of the tournament is the day i caught the most fish of the year out of grenada 7. And i talked to a pile of tournament fishermen that didnt catch more than 2 or 3. I'm just saying this is my home lake that i've fish all my life and it is down. I know people thats fished it for 50+ years and can catch a crappie out of a bucket of sand that never caught more than 8-10 fish and thats retired people that fish everyday daylight til dark.

Here is part of the problem, the guys that are fishing it everyday and taking out fish. Sure the number of fisherman that come down and fish it doesn't help but the locals know the lake and can catch fish even when the other people cant. We fished it last year and had no idea where to go until someone told us and when we got there it looked like the Spanish armada had arrived. I can bet you that well over half the boat there were locals that were fishing it everyday. I think we caught 7 fish that day and had over 17 lbs, so no, not numbers but the day of a lifetime for size.
