Thinking about fishing Sardis Lake , I am coming out of Memphis. Trying to learn to catch bigger crappie.
Where should I launch my boat? Best point to fish.
Should I troll bandits , jigs, or spider rig minnows.
What's a good speed troll.Thanks

Is launching out of Teckville ramp a good spot .looks closer to me if I am coming down hwy 78
Just watch out for South and Southeast winds, dangerous over there in certain wind directions. Someone correct me if I am wrong about the direction.
I changed it to SE winds, SW not so bad up there. Long way around for me so we never use it.

Anything out of the south is rough and can be very dangerous if it's up much at all. Depends where you are coming from. I some times go 78 to oxford and go across towards Batesville then cut off to go to engineers point. Lot better drive than going from where I live north of Byhalia off 309 than going through Olive Branch and Southaven to get to 55 and go down. No real time difference for me. Just a short drive to Techville if wanting to fish upper part of lake and wind is not bad.

Sardis is quite easy to learn. Come follow me one day and then just don't go where I did. That's where all the fish are.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and
a gun the goes bang when it is supposed to go click.
Cray,
I live in Byhalia. Have you tried Byhalia road to Hernando and then down I55 to Sardis. Seems the closest way to me if your going up toward the dam area.
