I would really enjoy watching you try to catch fish pole fishing from june through january on these easy lakes. we have no structure in the deepest areas of the lakes. I would think barnett is alot easier lake to pole fish but guess you are talking about crank baiting or spider rigging. I wish our lakes only fluctuated 1 ft a year. must be nice. im looking forward to coming down there in april and scratching the boat up. i really hope they are on the banks and i will bring my little beater boat.
Bird Down I believe you are misunderstanding what I mean by easy/predicable to fish. The Rez is the largest reservoir in the state. Its 33,000 acres of water, from low head damn to the spillway is 33 miles. There are hundreds of backwater lakes, old lakes in the main lake, and the river system to fish. The spawn on the Rez last two months. My point being there is allot of water out there to cover and learn. Now take Grenada for example. In the spring the water is around 205 you know where the fish will be. In the summer you catch fish pulling cranks in front of the damn. Sure there are other spots but you can rule out allot of water depending on level and season. That doesn’t happen on the Rez. That’s why I think it’s harder to fish than the big four.
Hey we can mount metal detectors on our boats right next to the gps . That ought to work .

ME? Single pole? LOL you funny LOL yeh, talking about pulling cranks and spider rigging bud. First time I ever fished Sardis, the wife and I got 2nd or 3rd place in a tourney LOL heck, we were pulling 4 cranks off the back of the boat, sitting on the butts of the bass rods with a Nitro fish/ski combo at about 3.3 MPH on Idle. I had to pull out line 5 feet at a time so I'd know how much I had out. 5, 10 15, just under a full arms length each LOL

I believe grenada is the largest lake in the state, if I'm not mistaken. Also, I've NEVER had any luck close to the dam on grenada, lol. I like fishing the rez in the summer, single pole jigging the old lake beds. To me, a stable water level year round would make a lake easier to fish.........just my 2 cents worth.
MS Slab is right, Barnett is a huge lake with more choices than Wal-mart. I spend Mon-Fri trying to figure out where I am just goin to launch, let alone fish. It's not a typical lake either, any who is familiar with it can tell you, you can catch fish in 30' of water up next to the bank, and catch fish in 3' of water on out in the very middle in spots. People like to joke about a lack of fish but they are there and in good numbers!
I think i'm gonna save my money . 2 cents is a lot of money .
CATCH THEM ALL.
