Get a petition started. Seems to be the way to get things done on those lakes. I like the idea of the limit like Washington, but again, if they don't enforce it a 15" Slot wont change anything

I've emailed the MDWFP's a few times about a size limit and they just said the crappie population on Barnett was VERY healthy. Bout all they had to say

Not arguing the point or for or against . I just figure at barnett when we have no limit , if they will inforce the limit . It just leave the bigger fish for me and the other folks catch the small ones and gone . I have had day i caught a hundred fish and my hands would be tore up from throwing 80 percent of them back . Right now i just want to catch one lol .

From right now until the end of April Barnett is my favorite lake, but from May-Feb i can't catch a single fish out there.
If I spent the money and got rigged out for pulling cranks I know I could because I watched Paul Johnson slay them one day during the heat of the summer and I was jig fishing the same depth without a bite. I eventually bought me a casting net and started catching shad to catfish with.
Bro, you don't have to pull cranks to wear them out in the summer. Pitching a jig in some deeper water around trees can be very productive. Hugh has shown me pics and told me about some of his catches in the heat of summer . Some monster fish.
