Spool up one reel and see how you like it. Like DonDon said, you can see your rod tip bounce more because braid doesn't stretch.

If you try braid,look around for some line conditioner. I like both KVD Line & Lure and Braid Aid.They will make braid more manageable and eliminate wind knots.

The off shore is Offshore Angler Mono Line. It is in the saltwater section at Bass Pro and cheaper than that Mr Crappie carp, no memory.

I use 12lb mono. I use the formula (line out/10)+1 to estimate how deep my baits are running, if I were to switch to braid I'm pretty sure they would run deeper since braid dont float and has less resistance in the wtaer due to having less diameter. I dont know of any formula for briad other than experience which I dont have and dont have the patience to get when mono works fine.
I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
