    Default Sardis Meeting Summary

Makes you appreciate the good ones when you get them.

And I'm really with you on the first part. It is embarrassing to to see how some people act towards out of staters. Unfortunately, the bad people get a lot more attention for their actions, even though the other 99.9% of us know how to get along with each other and act like adults. I will say this though, whatever state I am fishing in I tend to use the busier ramps. It just makes me uncomfortable to use an isolated ramp, whatever lake it's on. If you're coming from out of state, this is probably solid advice for you
I try to use main boat ramps any where i go. Their are just too many knuckle heads, crack heads, and low life's in general at some of the remote places. It's best to launch where the people are. Look at it this way, Grenada is a pretty good sized lake but I can be anywhere on it within 15 minutes of the main landing, so why launch at a remote area?
The two best times to fish (when it's raining & when it aint). Proud member of team GitDaFeeshGrease

It's actually more like 28' counting the 4' between your two outside rods. See, you already learned something about trolling you didn't know.

Wappapello in Southeast MO has good size generally. 2 pounders are not uncommon. It's only problem is, it's a small lake, 8600 acres and its just about the only game in town. Truman Lake is huge and gives up generous amounts of fish in the 12-15 inch range. However I can drive to Sardis in half the time it takes to get to Truman.
The problem with Southeast Missouri is the lack of places to fish. Besides Wappapello, you can drive to Reelfoot or Mississippi.

Well, there you go, question answered why you see so many Missouri boats on the big 4. I also agree with the statement made earlier that it is best to use the ramps where there is traffic, just too many druggies and nuts out there today besides the red neck idot who may cut your tires. If you don't think that is true, try getting lost in the great city of Memphis and wind up in the wrong section of town. I am in much need of feeling the thump of a good crappie on the line and then the taste of fresh crappie on the table.

I am a Yank from southern Il. A few years ago, I used the ramp at the Grenada Dam. When I got ready to load the boat I had a flat on the trailer-roofing nail that obivously driven in while I fished. There were 4-5 others using the ramp. This stuff happens-gives a person the redazz.

I don't care what they make the limit on fish size or how many you can keep I'm gonna fish regard less, I grew up in the great state of ms about 30 minutes from Sardis and butla and now I live in tn(not because I want to). I grew up fishing with my dad and he taught to keep what you can eat and I have never gotten a limit of fish out of any of the big 4. I just love to fish and I think all the folk that say they love fishing then why can't everybody stand on common ground and respect everyone else's styles and techniques, I like trolling but I would love to get out and single pole fish as long as I can fish I'm gonna be happy.
