I used to get geeked up about catching the big girls. I always throw them back though. Don't much like the taste of them. Then, one evening with my dad, I caught more of them than I cared to remember. We threw back 9 fish over 10 lbs with the biggest being 14.75lbs. It was in the pouring rain when nobody was really fishing. In fact, we threw back so many big fish, we didn't even bring our limit home. We had a slot limit simply because we don't like to eat those big fish! Never was one to put one on the wall either.

Again, fun to catch though. I'll be chasing them soon on Erie as I have pretty much sworn off the Detroit river this year.

Daughter has an entry for US History @ Grand Valley State on Saturday. She has a shot at Nationals US History something or other......

Going to go to that, drop her off, wife & I will hit the Hunting & Fishing Expo, then back for the awards and placing announcement @ about 2.

If I go anywhere, it’s going to be a local lake for Crappie.

If I chase any Walleye, it might be a Sunday Day trip to The Sworn off DR.

But that’s allot of driving, and would cut into my Sunday nap time.........

I might chase Crappie & Nap on Sunday. It’s a WIN/WIN for me that way.......
