No, none of the ones I have ever purchased have come with a regulator.

I usually purchase a standard regulator sold at most hardware stores (for gas grills). They do sell high pressure regulators however, these are normally utilized in pressured line systems and not on a tank type system.

I usually purchase a simple 5 foot hose and regulator. ACE usually has better prices on that stuff than the box stores.

That size you see in the picture is actually overkill. The 10,000 BTU radiant unit would be just fine. After having the non radiant blue flame unit in an 8X8 and noticing just how cold the floor was and how long it took to warm the building, I was hesitant to go this small. I will say though that the bigger unit has way more adjustment features and an electric fan kit can be purchased with it as an add on. I didn't do it yet, but I will as I have it wired for electric. Just need to run my power inverter (next year).

Right now I am in the finishing stages of finalizing my decision for a sawmill. Tired of paying high dollar for quality material when I can cut it myself. I've kicked it around for years and finally found a great model that I have settled on. Then you will see some rediculous finish work in a "cabin"!

I have vacation I need to burn but also a ton of work to do and no one else to do it either. I am by no means connected to "love" this job. Quite the opposite really. I think they assumed I was ready to rip someone's throat out a couple weeks back and decided that I needed down time. Of course, coming back to work just means more crap on my desk!

Nope, the boss (me) wouldn't give me the day off. And I couldn't sleep in till 9:30. I need one of those IT jobs. On second thought, I'm pretty happy doing what I'm doing.

Thanks, Larry. I like the Beats-a-Tent, too. I only kid about being in the ghetto. That's two roads over. Maybe you will win a free stay again next spring. If not, give me a call, I know a guy who knows a guy that might be able to work something out. Maybe you could win a stay in Steve or Riches deer blinds, they're about the same size as my cottage.

Radiant is the only way to go. I had the 30,000 in my barn and ran off a 125 gal. tank but when LP got expensive I sold it and put in a wood burner. Two years ago my insurance agent made me take out the wood stove so I bought the next size smaller, 12,000 I think. The 30,000 would roast me out of the barn so I opted for the 12,000. Never even considered the blue flame.

Steve, thank Judy for the cookies. I had a couple tonight and they are awesome.

I did construction. Would trade IT for it in a heartbeat.

I've been doing a ton of research on the new pellet stoves. The biggest issue is the electric it takes to operate the auger and the fan. This was not good for off grid even though the price is right.

There is a new company out that has one that uses zero electric. Pellets are gravity fed and the heat is sent through ventury and convection.

It is a little more than 100lbs and can be used in a wall tent. I seriously considered buying one.

Sawmill is on the menu right now. I have all the finish work in the new cabin plus a guest house/cabin I want to build. I used to sell firewood and I hate seeing trees laying on the ground. I also have some forest thinning to do.

    Sheesh,

& here I spend my time in a Summit Climber, or 1st Gen Double Bull.

    Saw 4 tonight, 3 Doe, 1 Buck.

All were running, but nothing chasing just yet.

Hopefully when I have all next week off as well, they will start chasing

    Pellet stoves:

I have a 160,000 btu corn/pellet/multi fuel stove that heats my house more than comfortable. Primary fuel is pellets, as it gets colder I use corn since i grow it here its a cheap het source and does well in colder tempertures.......warmer winter temps, pellets does better.

Picked up a bunch of free pine T&G panelling from Jerry, gonna look sweet in the UP Honeymoon suite deer blind. Free is kinda funnee since ole Jerry said he'd like a ice trip and a boat trip for it......I doubled that, seems fair.....UP trip is on the horizon. Could use a third....Rich?

I'd have a talk with your boss.....in fact have him call me, I'll tell him how to treat a employee right! Mine gives me a day off when I need it.

I figure a couple of fishing trips is cheap for a pile of vintage knotty pine. If you check ebay or craigslist you'll find that anything vintage is worth WAY more than non-vintage.I'm just happy to get it out of my barn and do my part to make the UPHMS a world class deer blind.

I have a free standing wood burner that I heat my house with. I've given some thought to converting to pellets after my woodshed is empty in a couple of years. I guess I would have to research stoves and also how many pellets I would burn over the winter to see if that's the route I want to go or stay with wood.
