I'd wear myself out walking around looking out the different windows. Maybe you should mount a roller chair to a track and rig up a motor so you can do circles around that thing, sort of like a model train.

    Thanks for the company, Steve.
I'm in for that, your sister has a nice place to hold a small event. I asked Just Judy if she'd like to go even with a heated tent as you mentioned, shes a no go......boys both work, I have a two man flip over so I'll probably have Aiden come along and show me how he does it. I hope you paid close attention to how I shmoozed that pretty young store clerk and can use that style on any future endeavors you may have with the fairer sex. Thanks a lot for letting me tag a long.

Larry and Rich I see that Knutson's in Brooklyn are selling those Mickey Mouse style boots ifn youre in need......I tried them a long time ago once and they wore the skin on my ankle bone raw, never wore them again. We had a Surplus store in Escanaba that sold all kinds of military surplus goods.

I have those same exact slippers you have Rich, nice and comfy!

Speaking of that store in Lakeview and shmoozing......I hope Jeri from Case Plastics and Rylee from Fish Sniper Tackle get some business out of my inquiry of the store manager,.......gotta earn my keep somehow......remember Jeri and Rylee its a XXL hoodie/shirt size.

Steve, they don't need to send me a hoodie for driving you to your sales call but thanks for negotiating for me. Not that I'd turn one down. You should have Jeri stop in Six Lakes, too, maybe she can get a couple new accounts in the area. Now that you've seen the Beats-a-Tent do you think I can make it on an episode of Lifestyles of the Poor and Ignored? Let people see what life is like in the ghetto of Townline Lake.

I have high quality serta felt office chairs on rollers.

I did have to fire up the heater for 5 minutes. Actually, the thermostat kicked off after 5.

I was investigating the purchase of a sawmill so I had things to do.

I'm down for a winter outing. No need for a flip over for this guy but I do own three of them. No idea why?

    I like your style rich!!!!
what kind of heater are you using?
and do you have it hooked up to a 20 or 100 lb tank?
I wanted to get something that I could mount on the wall and hook up to a 20lb tank , but everything I looked at says 100 lb required (for pressure)

I didn't get to the finish carpentry this year but it is an awesome cabin.

I noticed the heater, it's a size bigger than I have for my 24x40 barn. It should heat your deer shack OK. What does a guy that never gets cold need a flame thrower like that for?

I got to see Steve in action yesterday. First he went into full salesman mode with the guy at the bait and tackle and got the OK for Jeri and OE's son Reiley to make sales calls. Then he laid a layer of sugar on the young lady running the register so thick that my teeth started hurting and I got a sugar buzz. Something about being the catch of a lifetime that had her swooning. In his words- he can be quite a charmer. Probably how he's hung on to Judy for all these years.

Should be a good time at the ice fishing gathering. Like Steve said, it's a pretty place. My sister owns a vacant lot on Holland Lake which is about 75 acres. Her property has a small hill just off the lake with a fire pit and electric on a pole that would work nicely for setting a warming tent for the kids and sissys and plugging in crock pots. I'll keep an eye on the ice and let everybody know when it's safe.

Time to get ready for work now, unless they make me take a vacation.

Hey Jerry, I think that's a pretty darn nice place you have there. Wish I had one just like it.

    John,

That is the radiant version. There are two different models. Blue flame with a glass face and radiant. I have them both.

The blue flame with glass works ok however it takes convection to heat the building.

The radiant heat (like pictured) is instant heat to anything in the room (like the sun's rays). 1 million times better than the blue flame ones.

I have both a 10,000 btu unit (not pictured) that I use in one of my other cabins, and this one (a 30,000 btu model). I bought this one at Menard's as it was on sale but I did see them online from another source for under $200.00

I run a 20lb tank on all of mine. Yes, the box states that you "MUST" use a 100lb cylinder due to pressure. So, the funny thing about propane: It doesn't matter if you have a 1lb tank, a 20lb tank, or an 800 gallon tank, propane pressure coming out of those tanks are virtually the same!!! Besides, most of the pressure is restricted from the regulator!

That unit comes with the wall mount but you can buy legs for it. You will need to purchase a male to male brass fitting. 3/8 pipe thread on one side, 3/8 flare on the other.

On the number two setting it will heat that 12x12x8 building and shut off the thermostate in under 5 minutes. The blue flame model would never shut off.

Purchase a battery operated fan that you would use in a tent to circulate the air better.

    Jerry,
I don't get cold but my guests do!! Besides, it is nice to have heat when you intend to sleep there. As you can see, I like to be in my slippers when I'm inside the building. I would hate to get mud on the carpet!

FYI: these are "ventless" systems so no air vents required. Ventless systems however will add moisture in the air resulting in condensation on your windows. Blue flame models are much worse.
I use Rain X on the outside of the windows and an Anti-fog spray on the inside of the windows.

Also of note: These heaters are NOT permitted to be placed inside of a home or residence in the State of Michigan as they are required to be vented.

rich, did your heater come with a regulator or did you purchase one?
I have seen them at menards, some have rubber hoses attached and some are just the regulator.
I had wondered if there was a difference in tank pressures.
    thanks
