I guess I forgot to mention that we camped at "Brower Paker" last year. Thanks for the update on the monies Kevin.
Larry, it is a really nice park. I kicked myself in the butt last year for not purchasing the yearly pass. They get the fees because it is a county park instead of a state park. The launch is great (they actually have two). They have a channel to moore your boat (many did this on Friday and Saturday). The bait shop is down the road a short distance, and it is within about 6 miles of US 131. Really the center of the state for the most part. June seemed to be the peak time last year. The gills were up on their beds (I caught some dandies), the crappies held tight to cover (which was easy to find) the perch were mixed in, and some nice largemouth for good measure. It is a big body of water. My daughter camped with me last year and I had a hard time getting out to fish because of all the places to explore, things to do, beach, etc...
Kevin and Jimmy know this place better than others. Before we slap the table on Brower, do you guys know or recommend a different spot or campground?
