Hey Larry, I think it was 5$ a day for truck and 6$ launch a day 11$ total a day or you could buy the seasonal pass for 35$. Which was cheaper if you camped more than 4 nights

I guess I forgot to mention that we camped at "Brower Paker" last year. Thanks for the update on the monies Kevin.
Larry, it is a really nice park. I kicked myself in the butt last year for not purchasing the yearly pass. They get the fees because it is a county park instead of a state park. The launch is great (they actually have two). They have a channel to moore your boat (many did this on Friday and Saturday). The bait shop is down the road a short distance, and it is within about 6 miles of US 131. Really the center of the state for the most part. June seemed to be the peak time last year. The gills were up on their beds (I caught some dandies), the crappies held tight to cover (which was easy to find) the perch were mixed in, and some nice largemouth for good measure. It is a big body of water. My daughter camped with me last year and I had a hard time getting out to fish because of all the places to explore, things to do, beach, etc...
Kevin and Jimmy know this place better than others. Before we slap the table on Brower, do you guys know or recommend a different spot or campground?
We don't have any places. Houghton Lake & Cadillac are good, but we already been there. It looks like Brower Park is $25 M-F and $30 on Sat & Sun. Truck fee is $5 and boat fee is $6 If you go Thurs.- Sat it would be $80 and $33 for your boat & truck or $113 for three days & nights. Can't reserve till Jan 1st. Let us know what the decision is, and tell us what # is a good spot. Thanks, Larry & Sandy
There are other campgrounds on Hardy besides Brouwer park that won't be as expensive if people want to camp elsewhere. Granted it's nice to all be local, but that is an option nontheless.
I was just looking at Marble lake campground down in Quincy. Part of Branch Co. parks system. Looks like a similar chain of lakes system like the Randall chain which is just a bit west of there. Just another option to throw on the table, even though it would be a bit further for some and less for others. For what it's worth.
Last year we were in the block of sites 43-56. Pretty much all of those in that northern section are good level sites. You cannot moor your boat in the lake off to the north of those sites though. Here's the layout for those who are interested:

Just a little information for those of us who have dogs. Brower Park doesn't allow them if I read it right.
Sec.24.a No pets shall be allowed in Brower Park or School Section Lake Park. Pets are allowed in Merrill Lake Park, Paris Park, Haymarsh and Tubbs Lake State Forest campgrounds.
Section 24: PETS ARE DOGS ALLOWED? OR NOT? This is confusing.
If you have a pet, you must abide by the following rules. Failure to comply shall subject you to any remedy provided for violation of these rules, including immediate eviction of the pet and owner.
Sec.24.a No pets shall be allowed in Brower Park or School Section Lake Park. Pets are allowed in Merrill Lake Park, Paris Park, Haymarsh and Tubbs Lake State Forest campgrounds.
Sec.24.b The only pets that are allowed are domesticated dogs, cats and small birds in cages.
Sec.24.c The park staff may allow a pet not specifically defined above if they find it to be similar in size, characteristics to a domestic dog or cat; however the following specifically are not allowable as pets:
Poisonous or potentially dangerous snakes and other reptiles, spiders or insects.
Birds of prey such as eagles, hawks, and owls.
Small fur bearing animals: Raccoons, Skunks, Squirrels, Monkeys, Minks.
Bobcat, Lynx, or Lions.
Wolf, Half Wolf or Coyote.
Large animals such as Bears or Livestock.
Dont hold me to this Larry but I believe someone was talking about pets last year and someone said they had to outlaw pets due to camper complaints
Then again this is just here say
Thanks Jimmy.
Yes, I believe you are right Jim. Like I said, if anyone knows another campground they recommend, let me know.
Cadillac was good too
