There are quite a few War Eagle owners on this site and I haven't heard very much bad press about the boats at all... the factory and dealers seem to have delivery date issues though, they'll promise you the moon when you're buying the boat but rarely deliver on time... or even close to it.

    Here's a for instance:

I seen that boat in an add yesterday. I used to own a 2072SDSV and a 754 LDV at the same time for a few years. Great boats and if it had not been for health reasons I would still be in a War-Eagle. But needed the better ride. Now they have this one with a 22 degree hull. Man wish they had come out with this one couple of years ago. Do wish they had more pictures of it like with the hull showing and the layout with everything. But looks like a nice boat.
There a great boat. The company will also work with you on building one. I got to pick out about every part of mine. They can and will make changes to a boat. There not a cookie cutter boat maker. They build them your way.
Also when I sold both boats I did not take a big loss. Not many times you can do that when selling a used boat. They hold there value.

glad to hear those comments. the 2170 has .125 alum throughout which i was looking for and it appears as if it would be pretty good on big water. it apparently used to be their costal boat. as far as customizing goes, they see this as more of a pkg boat. i can get a side console w/livewell, a port side rod locker, a 70+ qt cooler under the passenger seats and the front storage runs full width. they aren't budging on anything else. i do want a smooth ride; so with the 22deg hull i should have that. any comments on how they stack up with a sea ark? thanks

My next boat will be a War Eagle and it will have a vinyl floor covering.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I have had that vinyl floor in my last 3 boats. Don't think I will ever go back with carpet again.
As for the 22 degree hull. It should ride good. one Issue I had with my 2072 was on big waves from the 30ft or bigger boas it would catch 2 if not 3 of them at a time. so watch out for that for sure.
As of it stacking up aganst the Sea-ARk. I have had people tell me the 24ft boats ride like a dream with the 15 degree hull. But then again the War-Eagle having more V should beat it. Both are great boats . That 22 degree may be as much or more then My Lund 1825 Pro Guide Tiller has.

glad for the imput. the dealer's touting the vinyl, but i didn't know. i, too, gotta believe that 22deg hull w/ the .125 al should be about as good as its gonna get ride wise. thanks
