help with gas tank

my tank is located under the battery shelf in the rear of the boat. What would be the best way to empty it?? I can't see any drain or anything like that on it, matter of fact can't hardly see the tank. Would it be possible to take the connector off the line at the motor and siphon the gas out that way? might add I do have a water separator on it and I could put a siphon line from there.
Any suggestions would help, don't want to take the tank out, mucho worko!!
