Check out "Litewirehooks.com" I just got an order a few weeks ago. Curtis Hobbs has retired but has taught a couple other gentlemen the "how to" for lack of better words.

This is a different outlook on this subject. Personally, I don't like a super sharp hook. In my experience sharpness of a hook does not matter as much as the size of a hook. I crappie is call paper mouth for a reason so you don't have to have a razor sharp hook. If you think you are missing fish because of the hook try using a bigger hook. I never use any hook smaller than a #2 with live bait and will go all the way to a 2/0 hook with minners. 99.9% of the time if I am using minners I use a regular red #1 hook from bass pro and I think they are eagle claw hooks but on sure..

I'm not a big fan of any normal straight round bend hook for any kind of fishing. I prefer something with some shape at the top or bottom and I like sickle hooks. I know both Trokar and Gamakatsu make hooks sharp as heck.
