The Right Crappie Tackle

I find it somewhat amusing that we often stray so far away from what works well at low costs .The right crappie tackle can be whatever the user has in hand in many cases and or in the garage . When I take children and novice types with me ,the right crappie tackle is a 9.99 Zebco combo most of the time. It for sure is the right crappie tackle , the action is perfect for a beginner, the line weight is enough to get it done and yet not too much and the operation of these units it easily learned at a speedy pace.
So the next time someone says you need a this or that name rod and or reel and or line , remember the back when and how effective the Zebco combo was when you likely used one.
We float fish with them and freeline jigs with them and we often stay in line with the ones that have the "right crappie" tackle .
Trust me on this part folks, some of them "novice" anglers that only hit the water with me once or twice a month or even a year are for sure the real deal with the right crappie tackle in hand , some out pace me from time to time and to be VERY sure that takes a bit of steam in the crappie ketchn arena most of the time.
The wife and myself, played with the "pet" crappie the other day and she did VERY well with that there purple Zebco combo , neck in neck to the finish line it was .....that there duck feather junglejim jig on that there right crappie tackle, was making me have to step it up to stay with her , deadly meds for sure.
KABOOM is how we do it ....
p.s. tiny jigs under Walmart Comal pencil floats in the shade about 5 foot deep in 12 foot of water, midday at around 104 outside temp.
