    About the 22’s. Going back to when I was a kid I remember dad having bb and cb caps that were tiny and quiet. Good for parlor type games punching paper. You could actually see the bullet travel in a scope, and they weren’t very good scopes. Now I just buy standard velocity long rifle and a nipple for a baby bottle. Only good for a shot or two but when ya gotta have it.

    The Shorts I'm using out of the bolt action hammers at 25-30 yards. I have less than 5 misses with that setup this year. Few squirrels in this entire section because of that 22. I have a Vari-zx 3-10 Leupold on it. It will cut the connector of a pine cone to the tree limb. You have to be shooting up though, bullet drop horizontal is horrible.
