Those traps work. It's not a happy ending for the coons however!!

Don't set those traps near anything you don't want chewed to pieces. I set one near my garden hose and they turned my 100 foot hose into 2 50 footers.

We had rats move into our 3 cars while we were away from home for a few weeks. Our home is surrounded by woods and the vechiles were parked outside. They built nest under the hoods of all three vechiles and they ate the wires. On a BMW they chewed through the knock sensor shielded wire which in order to change it the intake manifold had to be removed. Quite expensive rat story. I now keep those baited boxes near our vechiles and replace those baits as necessary.

I was at H&H Marine in Houma La. Picking up my boat one day. I always look at the hulls in the back of boat shops looking for a abandon bass hull to restore & flip. I was looking at a Charger, lifted the Aft Deck Hatch to find the biggest possum I have ever seen living within the compartment. Oh, it really stunk too. I didn't want that hull anymore.
