Do you use a backing with your Braid?

Appreciate the info guys.

So for those that are using mono backing, do you try to approximate the diameter of the braid with the mono, or just use whatever old mono you have laying around, as long it is not too large a diameter?

You shouldn't be casting the mono, nor should it be spooling out through your guides, so size really doesn't matter.
