Mono may wear better than fluorocarbon, not watching the video, but I have never had any issues with fluorocarbon wearing during a day of fishing. And I am constantly rubbing my line down in wood cover, all I do is fish down in stakebeds and brush, no open water fishing. Never, literally never, had a fish break off using braid to fluorocarbon joined by a uni to uni knot. And have been fishing the same setup for several years now. We are all probably splitting hairs but I personally will never tie mono to braid. If I was going to do that then I would just fish mono.
