I keep roughly 250 per year. I keep them depending on what my freezer looks like, or if we want fresh fish that day.

It is getting rare that I keep full limits of 30, because that cuts into my desire to fish the next time. I much prefer to keep 8-10, release the rest that day, eat the 8-10 fresh ones, and then "need" some more fish later.

Before winter hits hard, I like to have 100-120 stock piled in the freezer.
