I've always been a lightweight (4-6 lb) mono guy when it comes to crappie fishing, but I have heard mixed reviews of braided line too. So I wanted to get input from the guys that haven't steered me wrong yet. In the context of crappie fishing from the shore, what are your guys' thoughts on braided line versus mono - good, bad, or ugly. And what changes with lure choice (heavier/lighter/etc)?
