Mono or braid?

I've used 4# Stren mono for years , but next spring will be spooling up with 6# or 8#braid, and a fluorocarbon or clear mono leader . Just tired of fighting the line twist off the spinning reel.

I know this might be taboo, but I use a snap swivel to keep the line twist down. I tie a jam knot on the swivel, so it stays pretty sensitive.
