Thread: "Slap Ya Moma"

I've been using "Slap Ya Mama" the last few years on everything from popcorn to just a dash of it when I "tweak" the Baked Parmesan crappie recipe you can find on this site. As far as cajun seasonings go it's a bit more on the salty side so a little goes a long way.

Slap ya Mama seasoning was started by a family I know in Ville Platte. They are very nice people. They have since expanded their products to include hot sauce, gumbo mix and crawfish boil. I highly recommend their products.

It's a great way to enjoy your fillets. Any one of the Cajun seasonings will work. I use one that is salt free and it delish.

What is the name of the one you use?

SYM is my favorite due to lower red pepper mix...I've even shipped some to co-workers in Las Vegas before after we started talking about cooking...Good stuff!

I work with the guys that make SYM's cousin and yes a very nice family indeed! I tend to use Balls (local so I get it cheaper) more but do like SYM also, both of them have less salt than Tony's.

Slap ya mama is good stuff!
