The Ohio is on a steep fall from Cairo, where it provides 70% of the flow in the Mississippi, all the way up to Smithland Lock and Dam. The Mississippi is on a steep fall at St. Louis and it is leveling off at Red River Landing (where it enters the Atchafalaya). The stage at Butte la Rose should be steady for about a week and then start to fall. THEN the bite is on!![]()

Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.
what is it about the water that falls too fast or bad low oxygen water that comes out the woods????
I wish it would have gotten to 20' at BLR for where I fish. Needed a good flushing and stocking.
Offshore for two weeks, sounds good when I get back.
Yeah can't wait for the Basin to start dropping. Thought it would never drop. Thanks for the post
