Thanks for sharing Waxnslabs. I remember when Poverty Point tagged some white perch several years ago and I caught one (only got a cap, though, for turning it in). Apparently the data collected didn't affect anything because the limit was and still is 25. Poverty Point is also the only lake where I have had numerous creel checks, although none lately. I think managing for white perch is sort of like managing for deer. The fishermen need to decide what it is they want. Do they want to catch lots of eating sized fish or have the chance to catch a trophy fish? Either way, Poverty Point would be a good lake to experiment on because the whole lake is a state park and they can pretty much set any rules they want.
