Being from sola and now in Ruston, I welcome any information on vertical/drift fishing. I am very comforable fishing shallow for those pre-spawn "pigs" in southern lakes and the spillway (basin). I've caught WP with their fins at the surface. I'm really enjoying the deeper fishing. More depths equal more variables to consider, all the better. I am learning from Roger "The Hammer" Smitherman. Seems that they might as well come up and float when he's in the channel. Really a good fisherman. I haven't got past 2 poles, 1 in each hand. I really like this method as I can't get enough of the almighty "thump" when he shows up. This is a good fit for me but I'm sure the spider rigs are fun as well. Again, good post. JN
