    Default Wiring question

I need advice.... Any wiring gurus out there? I need to rewire my pirogue's trolling motor. I need to include a pwr on/off switch single pole double throw, a fwd/rev switch double pole double throw with one side reversing polarity, foot switch momentary press, and the speed select switch for the motor. As well as the motor. I am capable with wiring and reading diagrams, but am having trouble drawing this out and don't want to fry my battery or motor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How did that go from a red wire and a black wire? Sounds like you are an electrical engineer. I will contact you if I have a wiring question.

if you can think it out like that, type it out, then you should be able to wire it up in the dark imo.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

True, you'd think I wouldn't be having this much trouble with it. I do have it drawn out how I think it should go. If I would've had my common sense with me the day I took it apart I would've taken a picture of how it was connected before I disconnected anything, but I must have left my common sense in my other pants, LOL! I'll try it this afternoon... am getting tired of paddling around Flag lake :-)

I tried three times. I can't even read the question.

    Hey there stokesjeremy,
Here is a link to a site that I get a lot of TM parts from for my Minn Kota's. You didn't state brand, or whether 12 or 24 volt, so I didn't pull a particular wiring diagram.
Scroll down till you reach a section below the parts, and there will be parts breakdown and wiring diagrams for most all Minn Kota's.
Hopefully you will find what you need.

And thank you for your service!

Thanks boatstall, the link didn't show in the post, it is a 12v min kota. I believe it is a 42lb thrust motor. It has a red, black, white, an yellow wire config. My initial test of my diagram wound up in a blown fuse(glad I put it in) on the reverse direction. The pirogue is a 70‘s era bobcat single seater. I believe the yellow and white wires are for the diff speeds of the motor.
