Wiskers...you're right the water management is terrible but they ain't managing it for us, we get what's left after power and flood control. I would like to think they could bring the water up a little earlier in the year to help with this problem but everything always looks easy when you don't have all the facts...and I don't when it comes to how much water they can safely bring in and still have enough room to drop it with the potential for flooding when Spring rains occur.

CS...I didn't say that you specifically were hoping the line and that's not even the point. The point is WHY people are hoping the line. I don't give one hair about in state vs. out of state. You got to buy a license to fish, or should, and that money is used for the betterment of our fisheries.

We have guys coming down from PA. to fish and dogonitt, I want to have a fishery here that will supoprt those fishermen coming here and catching quality fish.

I may not have the extensive background in fisheries science to figure out how to plug the hole but that doesn't mean the hole doesn't need plugg'n.

The Hound
Sounds like we are on the same page after all. The new limit doesn't bother me. It doesn't mean I can't catch 30 or 40 fish, it means all I can keep is 20. No problem there. But like you just said and I've been saying for years, if something isn't done to address more than just 1 facit of the problem, my grandkids aren't gonna be able to catch crappie like I did with my granddad. And you know & I know that a large part of the local buisness go as the crappie fish'n goes.

Good reply. Sounds like the hound is on the right track!
