Not good if all you can do now is watch carp jumping out of the water whether you are fishing or have hired a guide trying to catch Crappie when running Crank Baits. Doesn't sound good for the Guides.
Perch,
The silvers have been jumping behind the cranks for a few summers now. This year thus far, regardless of bay, I average at least 3 seperate incidents to have a single or multiple silvers jump behind the cranks on every trip.
I am assuming they are jumping due to the vibrations of the cranks, or the lines spooking them. I am not sure which but it is happening, and happening with more frequency.
And the size will vary, but have seen some that could top out around 60lbs jumping back there.
