New to the forum but I must say that I am disappointed in the number of post directly linked to fishing and fishing conditions for Kentucky and Barkley Lakes. If you look at the post for other areas of the country those folks seem to be much more willing to share information about there regions fishing. I have been a few times over the last couple of months and I know conditions have not been ideal, but come on! Even if we share about our failures there is something to be learned from that. I have not had the chance to go since joining this forum or I would have posted something of value myself. Come on folks lets do better at sharing general information.

Sorry for your disappointment. Dont hold your breathe waiting on all the good information. The fishing is tough, and its duck season.
Please see our thread about North Ky lake, might give a clue for your disappointment.
Happy holidays!
I did see an older man that had a 5 gallon bucket full of black crappie on Saturday. He caught them walking docks around North Barkley using Bobby Garland jigs...chartreuse and ice blue I think, no minnows.
It's deer, rabbit and duck season so reports are gonna die off for a while in here while a lot of us are playing in the woods. The few reports from the last month pretty much tells you what there is to know about the fishing...it's been tough. Just give it some time and once we get into early spring more reports and discussions will start to pop up.
If you are referring to CRAPPIE ON NORTH END OF KENTUCKY LAKE, I started that thread also. Not all fishermen are hunters and some duck hunters finish out the day fishing. See Illinois posts.
Just saying we should be seeing more post about crappie even if its about preparing for better times.
With the exception of years like last, by early spring when most are crappie fishing, I am usually done and moving on to other species. I know I am not alone I see you out there. Hopefully this thread will bring forth some interest and by spring there will be plenty of general info so others will have a good idea where to start.
I have only made it out once this fall, have a week off starting Friday and weather looks ok. Hopefully have a report or two good, bad, or ugly.
I fished north ky lake yesterday , didn't find any fish or other fishermen .
