    I know it depends on the weather but when do the red ears usually spawn on KL in the Jonothon creek area? Late April or early May? Thanks' for any info.

    Depends on the weather, usually early May. We are usually there the 1st or 2nd week of May.

    Thanks' Guys. I've fished the area many times for crappie in April and a few times for blue gill in the middle of May And always had a great time. Have wanted to get a few red ear so have a guide trip with a local guide the last two days in April. Might bring my boat along and fish a couple more days and fish for what ever, can't wait to get out.

    We're going to Barkley/Ky Lake second week of May and I can't wait! I just saw a picture on some fishing guide's web page and there were two ladies holding up three crackers that looked like they'd go between 1.8lb-2.8lbs...that one was maybe 3lbs, don't know. I'll be staying at Buzzard Rock Marina and I'm stoked.
