Spring Fling '13 ... Green River Lake

This poll is to set the date for our Spring Fling '13 @ Green (catchy title, no )

Choices will be : April 6th, 13th, 27th, or May 4th. Reason being that there are tournaments on April 20th (Green) & March 30th (C-land). And yes, I do realize that Youth Turkey is on April 6th, & Spring Turkey season is on April 13th ... but, that's a choice members will have to make, or be a factor in choosing another day.

Once a date has been chosen, we will open a thread for volunteers to bring the necessities for the Fish Fry that follows. We will be following the same proceedure as we have in the past, as far as start/stop time for fishing.

We will be launching out of Holmes Bend, and setting up the Fish Fry at the Picnic Pavilion (next to Restrooms, upper parking lot). You can, however, launch at any ramp you wish ... just be at Holmes Bend at the designated time for the Fish Fry (whether by road or water).

Unsafe weather conditions for that day will cancel the event. There will be a cancellation notice posted the day before, should the weather forecast dictate.

I'd have a hard time coming on the 13th. My son has burned my ears pretty good about not turkey hunting with him any last year. I'd be more for the later dates, but realize that doesn't suit most. Whatever everyone decides, I'll do my best to get there. Always a good time.

Man that's a tough choice, i lean towards the later dates. With the tourney's and spring longbeard... need to be in the woods with my boys!
From what i hear the get together is a great time and i would love to attend.

I vote the 6th,seem's like 2 years before last we caught more fish ,before the the lake was raise to summer pool.

I can go about anytime yall set it up now that i'm retired. I'll just need some help as far as how to get there or something to plug into my GPS to get me there as i've never been there before. Will anyone from Bowling Green area be going up that way?
