Greetings,
I just purchased an 06 Bass Tracker 175. I've been looking at a Driftmaster 250 set up. Is that what most folks use on a boat like this?
Thanks for any suggestions or pictures.

Can't go wrong with Driftmaster. Will take any kind of abuse you can give them. Fished with them for 20 years and have no complaints.

hi teks all the way!!
Been using Driftmasters for a long time. Fully adjustable and very durable. The 250's are fine for spider rigging or pushing jigs or minnows out the ftont of boat.
I use the Driftmaster 250's because that's what I originally purchased. They work well and are pretty tough. If I get new ones they will definately be the Hi Teks, fished with a guide that had them and I loved them for their simplicity and ease of hook set. Just grab them and it's like they are not even in a rod holder. Competetive price makes them even more attractive. I know that any of them will work and it's all in what you get used to, but I think Hi Tek has built the better mouse trap. Good luck.
I don't spider rig much if at all anymore, but I owned a few different setups when I did and HiTek was hands down my favorite.
I tried most of the major makes of pole holders and I can't find anything that can touch Hi-Teks. As someone else mentioned, they are easily adjusted and definitely the easiest to get your poles out of....at least in my opinion. Over years of tournament fishing, both Tite-loc holders and Driftmaster have cost me fish when reaching quickly for a pole and not making a clean lift on it by bumping my hand against the holder. I do not have the trouble with Hi-Teks and favor them....but...with that said, all three of those brands, Tite-loc, Driftmaster and Hi-Teks are good pole holders. Don't think you could go bad wrong with any of them.
Everyone will have their preference. I have the Hi-Teks for spider rigging off the front and use Driftmaster Pro's out the sides and back for longlining or trolling. I have them on the Driftmaster short t-bars and round bases and have had NO complaints fromt hem even under load from big catfish and muskies when trolling.
