    Default Xmas Ode to Wiskers

I hope Wiskers is not offended, but I posted this in the Christmas Carol contest. I have not actually met Wiskers (I hope to fish with him someday at KY Lake), but I feel like I almost know him from the conversations I and others on CDC have shared. Here goes...

An Ode to Wiskers, a CDC Kentucky Lake Legend! (to the tune of Frosty the Snowman)

Wiskers the fisherman, you're a happy jolly soul
with a decked out boat, and a ZEBCO reel, and a BnM fishin pole.

Wiskers the fisherman, can spin a tall tale they say
He knows where to fish, and the Crappie know he'll be catchin them some day.

There must have been some magic in that ZEBCO reel he used
For when he placed it on the pole, all his buddies were amused

Oh Wiskers the fisherman was as skilled as he could be
and his friends all say, he can laugh and play, and catch more fish than you or me

Thumpety thump thump, thumpety thump thump
    Feel them big slabs bite
Thumpety thump thump, thumpety thump thump
    Wiskers is eatin filets tonight!

Merry Christmas everyone! Have a safe and happy New Year!!!
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!

I'm not a "jolly, happy soul". Ask anyone who's fished with me. I'm more of a skinny, grouchy ole fart!
The only way to have a good fishing spot is to make it yourself!
