Hey Catfan, you may be suprised. My father and I did the samething, I am 37 years old and still enjoy fishing with my Dad. This year will make our 17th consecutive year together on the water since I left home (this includes the time I was in college) Truthfully, I enjoy the time I spend with him more now than I did when I was younger. When are you all heading out? Dad and I will be there for a week starting on the 2nd. Good Luck and keep the faith, you may be suprised how this works out. He may miss a year or two but he'll be back!!!!

I don't know for sure. Maybe Saturday or Sunday. Got an eye on the weather since we'll be tent camping at Hillman Ferry.

I'm currently in college near KY Lake and do more fishing now than I ever have in my life. Me and my buddies take the boat out every chance we get, 2-4 times a week just for a couple hours at a time but heck I still get to go. As for Dad, we generally go during spring break for crappie and right after school gets out to chase some redear. I can't believe I'm this lucky to be in situation like I am, but I sure don't regret it. Maybe something like this can work out for your son, CatFan, if he has a lake near his school.
