I know this may be a dumb question, but could someone please explain spider rigging? I never thought I would go long line trolling but love it once I hired a guide and he showed me how. I know with spider rigging you use a bunch of poles up front but other than that Im confused. Whats the advantages? Where do you try to spider rig? Deep Water? Over stump beds? In Creek Channels? On flats? What type of bait is used? I know you have to use long poles, but it seems like even with long poles the baits would come right back toward the boat. It seems to me you would stay hung up all the time. What type of speed do you push while spider rigging or do you just sit in one place? Do you have to add weight to keep the bait down? I know you fish the depth of where the fish are holding but typically how deep does someone or how deep can you fish while spider rigging? I know it's a lot of questions but if anyone can explain it, it will be someone on this board. I would really like to try this style fishing as I've heard it's really productive. Thanks
